Lung Cleanse
Our lungs work as the middle man between the atmosphere and the blood steam of our body. When we inhale, our lungs transfer oxygen into our bloodstreams, and the blood in turn transports the oxygen to our body’s cells. The cells use the oxygen as fuel. When we exhale, the lungs release a waste product in the form of carbon dioxide. This waste product comes from the cells having burned the oxygen as fuel. Within the lungs are tiny hair-like structures called cilia. When we inhale, the cilia filter out particles before they can become lodged within the lungs. Due to air pollution the cilia and our lungs can become clogged.
Pollution and our Lungs
In these modern times our lungs are bombarded by the effects of air pollution in the form of:
- Car exhaust, power plant and factory exhaust, tobacco smoke
- Pollens and dust
- Chemicals released from cleaning agents and synthetic products
To combat all of the pollutants we breath, it is recommended that you do a lung cleanse once or twice a year.
Why Lung Cleanse?
A lung cleanse will improve your breathing by detoxifying your lungs. If you have problems with wheezing, or persistent and coarse coughing, then a cleanse may help to reduce these symptoms. After a lung cleanse the oxygen exchange will become more efficient, thus making breathing easier. Your lung’s mucus membranes will become healthier, and your body will expel excess mucus. A lung cleanse will help strengthen the cells responsible for surrounding and ridding the body of toxins.
How to Lung Cleanse
A lung cleanse is an herbal supplement, which you mix with water or juice, and drink on an empty stomach. The following are examples of the types of herbal ingredients contained in a lung cleanse product.

Also it helps to eat in a healthy manner during a cleanse. Try to drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day, eat lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and foods high in fibre, and avoid fried and fatty foods.
A lung cleanse will help you body to deal with the problems that come from breathing the polluted air of our current environment.
